Endotoxin Removal Kit (DNA)

This Endotoxin Removal Kit (Maxi) is designed for the rapid removal of endotoxins from up to 1 mg of previously purified DNA. Endotoxins, also known as lipopolysaccharides, are components of the cell membrane of Gram-negative bacteria, such as E. coli. They are released during plasmid purification and can significantly reduce transfection efficiencies in endotoxin-sensitive cell lines. Therefore, removing endotoxins from plasmid preparations is often necessary before downstream applications.

Using this kit, endotoxin levels can be efficiently reduced to 0.1 EU/µg DNA or lower. Each kit provides sufficient reagents for four purifications, and the preparation time for a single sample is approximately 30 minutes.
